Better Benefits is our Mission

UNIQ Benefit Solutions was formed in 2022 in Mt Pleasant, SC, reviving the name of the firm Nick’s father grew when still in the employee benefits industry. UNIQ’s focus is to provide employers with a better way to manage their Employee Benefits, Human Resources and Payroll Administration. UNIQ works with businesses of all sizes and in any industry, the problems we see with rising premiums and shifting costs to employees is not specific to one vertical or size of company. Your employee benefits program is one of your largest business expenses and UNIQ provides solutions to show you another way to proactively manage your spend. Lowering the frequency and severity of your health care claims lowers your health care spend,  providing stability to your group health insurance plan.

UNIQ’s success stems from long term relationships with clients and fellow vendors. Gone are the days of spreadsheeting the lowest carrier premiums, UNIQ focuses on strategy and funding analyses to ensure you are prepared for the future. Employee Benefits are our focus, but we also provide Human Capital Management (HCM) solutions and HR outsourcing connections to support your business.

Meet Our Team

UNIQ’s team is a diverse mix of industry experts. Most people don’t dream of being in the insurance business when they are little…and neither did we! Our diverse experiences and commitment to your business are what make us unique. 

Nick Boeschen

Nick has been in the health insurance business since 2006 and works with employers of all sizes to manage their health care spend. He started as a sales manager for an inusrance company and saw he could better serve his clients through becoming a consultative advisor. Nick is the founder and owner of UNIQ Benefit Solutions and named the agency in honor of late father’s previous company.

Nick is an avid soccer fan, golfer and fisherman and spends most of his free time with his wife and two boys and dog, Otis.

Denise Goettsch

Denise began her professional career in 1992 in International Logistics. After 27 years, she moved into a new career with the David M. Gilston Insurance Agency. Her role as Director of Internal Operations has been instrumental in creating internal processes and procedures to increase efficiencies throughout various departments.

Denise has been married for 25 years, has 4 children and 6 grandchildren, and enjoys spending time at her lake house.

Tricia Fisher

Trcia began her insurance career in 1982 with United Healthcare and then spent several years with various health plans in sales, product development and management. Tricia is currently the Director of Operations at the David M. Gilston Insurance Agency focusing her efforts on benefits administratin technology, client education and general technology enhancements.

Tricia has been married for 38 years and spends her spare time gardening and enjoying the beach.
